Reminder: There are no 7pm Masses on Sundays during the summer.

 

Newman Catholic Student Center Parish now offers Online Giving for parishioners who prefer to donate through automatic draft.  Online Giving is a secure and personalized way to give to the parish.  Sign up for Online Giving by clicking on the DONATE ONLINE button (in top right corner) and sign up for your account.

When we serve others, we are imitating Jesus. We advance from volunteer to steward when we consciously choose to dedicate a portion of our time, talent, and treasure to the Lord, as a token of our gratitude for all He has given to us.

Catechesis

Faith is not just doctrine to be learned for a lifetime. It’s a vibrant relationship with the living God, a commitment to the personal growth and spiritual conversion of an on-going journey of faith. The Newman Parish warmly invites you to deepen your faith and your relationship with God through participation in our catechesis programs. Ironically, one of the best ways to learn more about your faith is to teach! The root meaning of the word catechist is “to echo.” Many catechists have found their own faith enriched by echoing their faith and serving as mentors and guides to children and youth on their faith journey. Strengthen your relationship with God and knowledge of the Catholic Church, volunteer to serve as a catechist!

Are you interested in Real Conversation? Faith that Challenges? Action that Matters?
Consider joining a Small Faith Group.

New and returning groups are forming now. Join one this spring. Seven weekly meetings beginning the first week of Lent.

What will they look like?  Some groups are for undergraduate students, some groups are inter-generational and made up of students, grad and undergrad, and adults from the permanent community.  You sign up for the group and the time that fits your schedule.

What will they feel like? Small faith groups offer ways of feeling connected outside the Sunday Liturgy, ways to begin meaningful conversations, ways to reflect on God’s presence in our lives & to form relationships that can last. 

Why join?  Small communities offer an opportunity for students and older adult members to hear and respond to the beckoning voice of the Spirit in their lives.
